Bringing Sustainable Agriculture into the Spotlight: LIFE-AgrOassis at European Researchers’ Night 2023
On September 29, 2023, the Laona Foundation participated in the European Researchers’ Night at the Cyprus State Fairground in Nicosia. This year’s event, organized by the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF), revolved around the theme “Mission: CONNECT,” emphasizing the connection between the scientific community and the public.
The exhibition booth was dedicated to “Climate Change and Agriculture” aligning with the event’s theme of ‘Adaptation to Climate Change’. The visitors had the opportunity to learn about the LIFE-AgrOassis Project, its practical implications, goals and significance in the context of climate change adaptation.
The visitors were introduced to the deep-rooted plants which grow in special tubes, to samples of Attapulgite (a water-retaining mineral), as watched videos and photographs.
