LIFE-AgrOassis Presentation and Associated Farmers

We invite you on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 16:00, to the Agricultural Research Institute in Nicosia for the presentation of the LIFE-AgrOassis European project and its associated farmers.

The LIFE-AgrOassis project aims to help the agricultural sector adapt to and tackle the impacts of climate change. It is based on three key actions to support agriculture:

Reduced or zero soil tillage
Establishment of hedgerows
Creation of composting units

The LIFE-AgrOassis project, involving partners from Cyprus, Thessaly, and Crete, is co-funded by the European Union and focuses on supporting agriculture in areas at risk of desertification due to climate change.

Project Partners

The Ministry of Agriculture (led by the Agricultural Research Institute and with participation from the Departments of Environment, Agriculture, and Forests), Open University of Cyprus, KES Research Center, Union of Cypriot Farmers (EKA), Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania, University of Thessaly, Municipality of Sitia, Paradeisiotis Ltd., TOEV Tavropou, and the Laona Foundation for the Conservation and Regeneration of the Cypriot Countryside.
