The submission of applications from farmers in Crete to participate in the land-selection competition was completed on October 6, 2023. Submission of applications began on March 20, 2023. Submission was made through an application distributed to farmers at the project’s informative meetings.
The total land offered to the project for evaluation reached 949,52 hectares. The vast majority of land (82,52%) is in the community of Palaiokastro, Toplou Monastery.
